My script

INT. THAI RESTAURANT – EVENING

Mayan is sitting waiting for her Pad Thai. The restaurant is darkened with fairy lights around the walls. Lexie enters the restaurant, reuniting after 10 years

LEXIE :                                    (walking through the door, held open by a man) ah thank you

MAYAN:                                 (quickly lifts up head due to the sound of a  familiar voice) Lexie?

LEXIE:                                    Oh my God! Mayan… wha… Oh my God (goes in for a massive hug, emotionally)

MAYAN:                                 Come sit, come, Sonny’s running late (both sit down at table)

LEXIE:                                    No way you’re still with Sonny!! Its been 11 years wow

MAYAN:                                 Yes haha, we’ve had a few ups and down but all good now… what about Sammy, still together after you went to uni?

LEXIE:                                    (hesitating) hmm, well actually he’s sort of… um.. in jail

MAYAN:                                 (speechless, jaw dropped) wha.. what do you mean he’s in jail?

LEXIE:                                    (looking down, stuttering) well…

MAYAN:                                 Go on, Lexie you can tell me, just like old days (grabs her hands)

LEXIE:                                    I… I killed… this girl, a random girl. (puts her hands on her head, ashamed) She was flirting with Sammy and I was drunk and I just pushed her but… but she fell on her head.. and… died…. Sammy took the blame to cover for me (wiping away her tears)
