- no flesh, muscle - allows it to be contained at a 15
- some things too gory and strong to be a 15 so would be qualified at a 18
- a lot of stabbings, organ pushing, blood
To The Bone
- rated a 15
- about a teenage girl with anorexia
- extremely anorexic girl, rib cage and shoulder blades, collar bone sticking out, make some audience members feel uncomfortable
- although she's seen in underwear, it is not at all sexualised
- scene of bleeding, irritated finger nails
- scene of a miscarriage, bloody shown
- no actual violence or gore, but there is discussions about bulimia, cutting and death
- naked girl laying on the floor, however no explicit nudity
- strong, crude language throughout
- emotional scenes, sobbing - hard for some audience members
- main character often smoking
- Lily Collins, the actress who plays Ellen, was also treated for anorexia nervosa as a teenager, underwent “supervised weight loss” for the role.


If you were working on a short film with young children in a foreign country, what ethics would you have to take into consideration? Why?

I would consider the fact that my target audience are children, as well as making sure it is appropriate for what is allowed in that foreign country.
